The Gotham Hotel

A slender 20-story boutique hotel on a 25-by-100-foot Midtown site. Sixty-seven rooms rise above the former home of the Gotham Bookstore, with balconies opening the upper floors to the city.

The lower façade responds to the established street wall; above, a lighter vertical expression emphasizes the narrow tower's height. The stepped room count allows the upper levels to become increasingly intimate.
